Elizabeth Childs

Elizabeth Childs is a PhD student and Knight Hennessy Scholar at Stanford University. Coming from a background in mechanical engineering and robotics, she combines both product design and augmented reality to create interactive and immersive learning experiences grounded in educational pedagogy. She has taught in educational institutions in North and South America, Africa, and Asia, and uses these experiences to create technologies that seamlessly integrate into a classroom context. Her research focuses on developing augmented reality tools to empower science teachers to enhance high school laboratory education. She aims to expand not only the capabilities of laboratory education, but also accessibility to hands-on science learning around the world.
